Bruce Wayne.

The brand is synonymous with qualities of power, sophistication & intelligence – much like a bespoke suit. From classic forms of print, to television, to the movie theatre it has always maintained a strong cultural presence with audiences. So, how has it remained relational?

Here are a few cuff-links:

link 1. Bruce’s brand is aspirational: He’s a billionaire. He attires at his mansion, picks up his beautiful woman & pulls up to the nightspot in a Lamborghini. Not to mention, that it’s always a private party held in his honor. He is a model of the ideal urban playboy lifestyle & audiences connect with aspirational brands. They represent a rare and elite lifestyle few of us can attain, but all of us love.

Link 2. Bruce’s alterego explores the side of us that others don’t know: He’s Batman. He is a master of stealth, prowess & escape artistry. Audiences identify with the alternative persona because it transcends our conventional behavior. They are given a chance to escape. What would you do if your identity was concealed to the outside world? What parts of you will the world never know? It intrigues us explore these possibilities.

link 3. Bruce is driven by a higher ideal: External affirmations are nice but they pale in comparison to the satisfaction gained by diligent pursuit of a higher ideal. In his case, it is through providing  security for others. Don’t all virtuous men seek security for others or provide it directly or indirectly. Isn’t that the garment women love us in?

In the new silhouette, The Dark Knight, Bruce Wayne has on his best suit ever and the numbers don’t lie – 158.4 million (first weekend). 70 years in Gotham, it looks like his brand is tailored for permanent fashionability.

Fashionably,

Quote “Some men draw a circle around their family, and they are the only ones they look out for, other men draw a larger circle, to include their friends and people in their area. There are a few men however, whose circle is much larger, it is the world.”

Virtuous…there is no better word!

Branding that’s what this is all about right. Innovative approach to a traditional figure. I can dig it like a steel shovel.

This is really smart (and fashionably delivered, of course) thinking, Jesse, and I love the metaphor for brands not being “one-size-fits-all.”

I look forward to reading more!

What up Jesse! I can dig it! I must be living under a rock because I have yet to see the film. Last weekend I saw “step brothers” a far reach from the fashion of The Dark Knight but I can tell you I would have never thought Ralph would have made such a push for a movie like that. I guess that’s what makes Ralph, Ralph. I’m digging the blog and will definitely hit back after I check the movie out. Looking forward to working with you! Holla at ya boy!
